Starting over with new web log software!

Well, if you looked at the archives you’d notice that the last time that I posted anything was February 14th, 2003, which is almost two years and eight months since I last posted to my web log (blog).

I was talking to one of my friends, and they had said that I had pretty much fallen off the face of the planet and that I only post big events such as parties and raves. Well, I decided to tinker around with things a little and I’ve set up Word Press to be my blog.

We’ll see if I can keep it up, but basically I’m going to try to make mini posts about what has happened through the week, and then my main posts will be posted not only here, but on MySpace and Livejournal. Hopefully this will be fun like it was before, it seemed that I got a lot of comments when I did this, so maybe we’ll get some more kudos this time around too. :)

Upcoming Events!

I have inserted a section to the right of the blog dedicated to upcoming events such as birthdays and important events. No one ever commented on me wishing everyone a happy birthday and I doubt many people read this blog. Sooo….I’m no longer posting birthdays unless something happens at a birthday party. :)

Kings of Chaos

Well, Greg Dean from Real Life Comics got me started on this online game called Kings of Chaos. Basically it’s a game where you create an army of followers and wage wars on your opponents.

When you attack them you gain money and if you have enough people you will lose some units during the attack. It’s nothing like EverQuest, but it still is fun. If this sounds fun then please JOIN MY ARMY!

NOTICE: I do not know what information they are collecting if anything at all, but you may want to use an e-mail address that you use for potential spam mailing lists.

Website Update: Host Changes

I have switched hosting companies to http://www.powweb.com. During this time you might have experienced some problems with viewing the site, accessing the forum, or viewing the gallery. These should all be fixed within the next 3 days and the website will be back up and running just as it was before the transfer.

Kung Fu Legends

I have to totally give props to Alex Ilson for finding these videos. They are completely funny and definitely worth the download to watch them.

If you go to http://www.KungFuLegends.com you will be given an option in the lower left corner to watch the movie. If you right click the movie kbit that you want you can save target as, which will download the video to your computer so you can watch it later and only have to get it once.

Enjoy!

Ahhh, that’s better…

Well, I just got done spending 3 hours getting the STHS NJROTC Website up to par, well…as up to par as it can be with the info that I have. I also added some rank images for the people in the forums, should make it a little more fun. I’ll probably do something like that for my board soon but it’s not a priority with only 4 people visiting.

Homepages are funny things…if you want to have a successful one you have to keep at it and make it better by adding things to it to keep people interested. Heh, maybe one day I’ll have time to encode some fun games. /shrug

I’m off to go recode my KOA and Tahoe Pines web pages so that they utilize full screens like I’ve corrected my site to do.

The madness inside my mind…

I don’t know why but every time I have visited Xkot’s website and have seen the image below I feel like screaming like my mind is being burned away with acid and want to choke the kitty…hey…I might need a shrink, but what do you think when you see it?

The site’s got a whole new bang!

Well, I decided that I was going to revamp my website after I did some research about computer screen resolutions. My webpage will not resize to fill your browser window, people with 800 x 600 resolution will experience the same effect, while people with higher resolutions will not suffer the tunnel effect.

I have also added a randomizing banner ad. Currently Dynamite Mambo is the only person that has any banner’s up mainly because I have not offered to host anyone else, and I know she appreciates any traffic I can drive her way. Leave a comment if you like it, or write a constructive criticism of what you think I should do to fix the site.

Just a FYI….I have a lot more things I want to try, so don’t ask for more content yet. :p

And the day goes by…

Well today was not one of those happy fun days. I went to school this morning and when I got there I heard a weird whirring noise coming out of my car. I went to inspect it and found that my power antenna for my radio was broken and the spindle of wire was continually spinning.

Once I got home I started to tinker with it but decided that it was way more work then it was worth to do it myself, so in I went to call the Oldsmobile dealer. After talking with them for 2 minutes I found out that It would cost me $169 just for the part. /laugh Shyeah-rrright! Money and I don’t get along right now, every time I seem to get some, it decides that it wants to move out. It’s a love hate thing I swear…

Anyways, I finally at 3:30PM decide that I better fix the problem since if I don’t, 2 things might happen. 1. The motor heats up and catches fire, thus catching my car on fire. Not a pretty thought. Or 2. it drains my battery leaving me tomorrow with a puzzled look on my face wondering how I’m going to get to school to take my midterms. Either route sucks. So…off I go to fix the car…

6.5 hours later…Wow, could that have been anymore difficult? My first plan of attack was to remove the antenna so that I could open it up and fix it. After removing a bunch of things, including the side panel of the front of my car, I finally got to the motor. When I inspected it I found that I could not open it up and tinker with it, that is, unless I was willing to destroy it and not have a radio.

Ummmm…..no.

I decided then that I better cut the power to it and would deal with it later when I have $169 to be able to blow. At that time then I WILL tear that thing apart and try to fix it myself to save me the cost of buying a new one, but will have the new one just in case I am not successful (I know I’m talented and good at machines, but I do screw up every 1 in 20 or so. :P ). I finished everything about 10:15PM, and was glad that I was done with that task, now I get to study for my midterms tomorrow…yay.
